Arsenal have been linked with Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic in recent days.

The Daily Mail recently reported that the Gunners are eyeing the United States international.

As well as Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle are reportedly in pursuit of Pulisic.

There could also be competition from Liverpool, who are apparently long-term admirers of the 24-year-old.

Although Pulisic hasn’t had the most fruitful time at Chelsea, he’s shining at the World Cup.

On Tuesday, he scored the crucial goal against Iran which put the USMNT into the knockout stages of the tournament.

ESPN pundit and former US international Herculez Gomez loved what he saw from the reported Arsenal target.

“How many goals do the US men’s national team have at the World Cup?” Gomez asked on ESPN.

“Who has been involved in both goals? Goal and assist for Pulisic.

“This man is putting things on his shoulders. He is tired of hearing the rhetoric.

“He’s tired of the narrative of the English Premier League, that he’s not ready and he’s a role player.

“He understands the situation at Chelsea and he wants more.

“He’s playing like a man possessed. He has been one of the best players for the US men’s national team.”

‘Looks pretty good’

Pulisic had to be subbed off at the break against Iran went to hospital due to a ‘pelvic contusion’ he suffered as he scored.

However, as per Goal.com, the £26million-rated attacker is ready to resume training ahead of the knockout stages in Qatar.

Gregg Berhalter is optimistic on the chances of Pulisic being available again.

“We’re going to see him on the training field today [Friday],” said the USMNT boss.

“What I think [is] it looks pretty good so we’ll have to see him today on the pitch to get confirmation of that.”
