Arsenal are making a nice habit of developing young players for Mikel Arteta to call upon in training and matchday squads and they’ve now got a 14-year-old involved in first-team training.
The Gunners have had huge success with the likes of Bukayo Saka emerging from the academy, while this season, we are seeing Ethan Nwaneri come into his own and contribute to the cause.
For Arsenal, producing young players on a conveyor belt is equally as important as bringing in top players to push them to the title.
The Gunners take on Chelsea tomorrow in a huge clash at the top of the table.
And in preparation for that game, it seems Arteta has looked towards a seriously young player to join in training.

Arsenal call up Max Dowman to training ahead of Chelsea
Arsenal have had a number of young players involved in training since Mikel Arteta has been in charge and supporters are always quick to pick up these youngsters being in the mix.
Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have added 14-year-old sensation Max Dowman to the training ranks.
Taking to X to share the update and a picture of Dowman in training, Romano has said the Gunners consider Dowman a ‘huge talent’.
Who is Arsenal youngster Max Dowman?
Dowman is firmly on the radar of those who follow the Arsenal youth scene a lot and he has already made the jump to the under-19s despite his age.
According to website Jorge Bird’s Arsenal Youth, the Gunners see a bright future for Dowman.
“A prospect who is extremely highly rated, Dowman made his debut for Arsenal U18s as a substitute against Southampton in September 2023 aged just 13,” Bird writes.
“Dowman, a skilful midfielder, has often played above his age group at Hale End and progresses play very quickly, while his passing is of a high standard.
“The England U16 international made a major impact for Arsenal U18s last season as he scored twice and provided five assists in seven matches. He also trained with the Arsenal first-team squad, becoming one of the youngest players to ever do so.
“It is expected that Dowman, who can also be deployed on the right wing if required, will be a key player for the U18s this season and it is possible that he could also feature for older age groups.”
Arsenal, then, could well have another huge talent on their hands here.
