Arsenal and Liverpool are preparing to lock horns on Sunday in the biggest Premier League fixture of the weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners and Arne Slot’s Reds are firmly in the Premier League title picture, occupying third and first place in the table respectively.
Arsenal have a number of injury doubts going into the Liverpool game, with the likes of Jurrien Timber, Riccardo Calafiori and Bukayo Saka uncertain to play.
There’s a chance the Gunners boss could potentially name some younger players in the squad, or maybe even the starting XI.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Arteta hinted that two teenage stars are in contention to start against Liverpool.

Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly options for Arsenal against Liverpool
The players in question are Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly, both of whom have broken into the Arsenal first-team this term.
Nwaneri has featured four times this season, registering two goals in the Carabao Cup win over Bolton Wanderers.
Meanwhile, Lewis-Skelly has made four senior appearances this term, including two in the Champions League.
When asked whether both players could start against Liverpool, Arteta said, as per football.london: “They are there. They are in contention. They always give us the option and the possibility to start the game.
“Myles came on the other night and he did really well. Ethan the same. They are first-team players. They are with us and we treat them and value the same way as any other player.”

Nwaneri and Lewis-Skelly create ‘energy in the team’
When asked whether the Liverpool game would be a good one for them to play in as they have no fear, Arteta replied: “Yes, for sure.
“That is something, that they don’t feel much – especially those two – and that is something really positive. It brings the crowd together as well, it creates energy in the team, that’s something really good.
“It is about throwing them in the best moment with the right players around them, which is something really important as well.”
Arteta stressed that he wouldn’t be scared to play either player, adding: “Well, we did it in a Champions League game the other day, so…”
