Mikel Arteta is interested in a highly-rated Premier League wide player but there’s one issue that could prevent a deal from materialising.

Arsenal are still keen to add further reinforcements this summer following the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori and the imminent signing of Mikel Merino.

Mikel Arteta still wants to bring in an attacker as he looks to assemble a squad capable of winning the Premier League title.

That said, it’s just emerged that he really likes a Premier League wide player but there’s one problem.

Mikel Arteta big fan of Pedro Neto

According to The Independent, Mikel Arteta is eager to bring in a winger this summer and Pedro Neto is a player he hugely admires.

However, there are concerns about his injury record and whether it’d be sensible to fork out around £55m on his signature.

Neto endured a topsy-turvy season last year as a hamstring injury continued to plague his availability – reducing him to just 18 league starts.

Despite that, the 24-year-old still managed to register 14 goal contributions across all competitions and was selected for Portugal’s Euro 2024 squad.

Arsenal keen on Alexander Isak

Arsenal are also keen on Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak following his 25-goal haul last season.

Though, The Magpies are intent on keeping Isak along with star players Anthony Gordon and Bruno Guimaraes, who is another player on The Gunners’ transfer shortlist.

There are also reports suggesting the club are looking at Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez but that too would take a substantial offer to get him out of the Etihad.

In other news, Arsenal are in talks with the agent of ‘superstar’ winger who Cristiano Ronaldo loves.
