Mikel Arteta has told his pre-match press conference – as per Football London – that he remains focused on Arsenal, amid Barcelona links.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta relieved Ronald Koeman of his duties this week, after Barca suffered a 1-0 defeat to Rayo Vallecano – Falcao scoring.
Of course, Arteta has been linked with the exit door at Arsenal already this season. But that was down to the Spaniard’s poor form as Gunners gaffer.
Where the links between Arteta and Barcelona and come from are unknown, given the Arsenal gaffer is seemingly unqualified for the gig.
Asked about a potential move to Barcelona, the Spanish gaffer reaffirmed his focus on the project at The Emirates. Barca are expected to go for Xavi.
“That I’m extremely happy at Arsenal and I feel privileged to be here. My only focus is here,” Arteta told his press conference on Friday.

Arteta on Barcelona: Arsenal fans do not have to worry about his exit
Barcelona are being linked with some big names in the world of management. But the likelihood is, that Xavi returns to the club.
The Spaniard has been impressing as Al-Sadd gaffer in the middle east. A legend of the club, it makes utter sense for Xavi to come back to Spain.
Other names linked include Ajax gaffer Erik Ten Hag, Roberto Martinez and Antonio Conte. £96k-a-week (Goal) Arteta is way down the list.
He simply does not have the experience or the knowledge to manage a club like Barcelona, yet. In time perhaps. But fans have nothing to worry about.
