'I love him': World Cup manager says he's a massive fan of Arsenal man after watching All or Nothing

Luis Enrique has claimed that he’s watched the All or Nothing series involving Arsenal and has praised Mikel Arteta.

The Spain head coach will see his team enter the World Cup when they face Costa Rica this morning.

Enrique will have designs on overseeing a famous win for Spain who were disappointing at the World Cup in Russia.

They lost to the host nation in the last 16, going out on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

Enrique wasn’t in charge then, however, and he will hope that the quality and the standards have improved since then.

Enrique has previously been linked with positions at Premier League clubs but is now in charge of the national team.

Spain are fancied to go well in this tournament, with a vibrant squad boasting some seriously talented youngsters.

It will certainly be interesting to see how they get on against Costa Rica, with Spain the heavy favourites.

Argentina’s shock defeat to Saudi Arabia yesterday might have given some of the minnows some confidence, however, and they’ll need to be careful.

Arteta will be a keen observer of today’s game for his country and Enrique is a huge fan of the Arsenal boss.

Arteta praised by Enrique

The Gunners boss is getting lots of plaudits this season and he thoroughly deserves each one of them.

Enrique was quizzed on Arteta during a pre-tournament interview with Get Spanish Football News.

Speaking on the Gunners and their incumbent, he said: “I’ve watched ‘All or Nothing’ (Arsenal series on Amazon Prime). I love Mikel Arteta.”

The Arsenal man has overseen a brilliant first half of the campaign.

His team have been beaten just once and lead Manchester City by five points in the race to claim the Premier League title.

Arsenal look a certainty to reclaim a place in the Champions League and Arteta deserves immense credit.

Given their lofty league position, however, they will fancy going a step further and battling for the title.

Arteta appears to have learned from his past mistakes and Arsenal fans and now unanimous in their support for the manager.

Enrique seems to have enjoyed the All or Nothing series and his praise for Arteta shows how well he comes across on the show.

It will now be interesting to see if he adopts any of the Arsenal boss’ methods during the World Cup.
