'Arsenal aren't a serious club': Some fans think Gunners are about to make a 'disaster' signing
Arsenal have reportedly been pursuing Aaron Ramsdale this summer.
The Gunners have reportedly made two offers for the Sheffield United goalkeeper already.
However, football.london claimed Arsenal will try once again as they seek to bring in competition for Bernd Leno.
On Tuesday, the Blades were in League Cup first-round action against Carlisle.
If Ramsdale featured in the game, it would’ve made him cup-tied.
And this would’ve likely rendered him unsuitable for Arsenal, given they reportedly want him for the cups.
But Ramsdale didn’t make the squad.
This hasn’t gone down well amongst Arsenal fans, however:
I can't remember the Arsenal fanbase so united against a signing as it is with Ramsdale. Maybe since Gallas?

Everyone knows it's a disaster waiting to happen, everyone knows it's a completely messed up decision, everyone know this GK coach can't be trusted.
And for £30m! #afc
We are actually signing Ramsdale for £34m to be a 2nd keeper… https://t.co/KBvaVdBvTh

If we spend more than £20M for Ramsdale, Edu and everyone involved in this, has to be sacked.@FabrizioRomano #afc #arsenal

Bring Ramsdale to the carpet 🤡

If we sign Ramsdale and Odegaard then we can no longer call ourselves a big club anymore!

Arsenal overvaluing English talent reminds me of 2005. Club are clearly planning for a change to the homegrown player rule, but no guarantee it happens. Ramsdale especially would be a catastrophic mistake. #AFC https://t.co/J2vaBx7Eey

Ramsdale isnt playing tonight and I'm about to take up another sport because Arsenal aren't a serious club anymore.

After the game, Slavisa Jokanovic poured cold water on the speculation.
“There is nothing in his absence tonight,” Examiner Live quotes him as saying.
“I am giving people chance tonight and Aaron is my first choice but if something happened I need to be ready.”
That said, Ramsdale not being cup tied is still a huge boost as far as Arsenal’s interest is concerned.
