Arsenal do not want to make Denis Suarez’s loan deal from Barcelona permanent this summer, according to the Sun.
Suarez has played just six times for the Gunners since his January arrival from the Nou Camp and has not had the impact that Unai Emery intended.
That reportedly means that the Spaniard has no intention of taking up the £18m option they have to sign the midfielder from Barca and are looking at alternatives for the summer already.
Emery apparently believes Suarez is struggling badly with the rigours of English football and although he wants to give him every chance of succeeding, hopes are not high.

In truth, Emery has no choice but to let Suarez leave this summer, because his loan switch has been so disappointing and the Daily Mail report that he has a summer budget of just £45m to play with.
Spending £18m of it on Suarez, a luxury midfielder who has struggled to make an impact would be a foolish move in a summer when Arsenal need defensive reinforcements, a backup goalkeeper and more pace out wide, among other things.
He never really looked like the kind of player Arsenal need anyway and that has been proven by his poor season so far.
