Arsenal are preparing a bid for a seriously talented Brazilian attacker after scouting mission

Mikel Arteta has proven that Arsenal are still one of the elite producers of young talent with the emergence of Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.

Before the duo made the step up from the Hale End Academy, some Arsenal supporters were growing concerned that the club’s long tradition of promoting youngsters might be lost.

However, Arteta has proven that he was simply waiting for the right level of talent to be available and ready – he doesn’t give chances out for free.

That being said, Arsenal will still be trying to secure the best young talent across the world to add to their academy and first team set-up.

For example, Arsenal are interested in Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg, even if the 18-year-old looks to be on his way to Aston Villa.

Arsenal interested in Brazilian youngster Gabriel Veneno

But according to Brazilian journalist Lucas Tanaka, Arsenal are now preparing an offer for 15-year-old Gabriel Veneno.

The Atletico Mineiro youngster is a right-winger who’s still playing for the club’s youth teams, but one that is already getting international recognition by Brazil.

Sharing his information on Arsenal’s interest in Gabriel Veneno, Tanaka said: “Here’s some exclusive information on Gabriel Veneno. The jewel of Atletico is considered a jewell by the people who follow the youth team.

“Remember he’s in the under-16s, he’ll be 16 in July. He was called up to the Brazilian national team under-16s last year.

“If I’m not mistaken he’s an attacking midfielder who likes to play on the right wing, pulling inside

“Gabriel Veneno is being watched and approached by a big European club, Arsenal.

“Arsenal in England is keeping an eye on Gabriel Veneno. I already have the value of the possible offer that they’re thinking of sending in the middle of the year but I can’t give you the value yet.”

Arsenal can repeat their Gabriel Martinelli success

Of course, should the information be accurate and should Gabriel Veneno end up at Arsenal, it would be a very exciting addition.

Chelsea recently secured deals in advance for young talents such as Estevao and Kendry Paez, attackers that the rest of the Premier League will soon be jealous of, no doubt.

Of course, Arsenal buying relatively unknown players from Brazil will always be compared to their capture of Gabriel Martinelli, who has rocketed in price since arriving in N5.

Arsenal want to sign Nico Williams as an immediate impact player this summer, someone who’s already one of the best wide players in Europe.

And perhaps Gabriel Veneno could reach similar levels were to come to Arsenal and forge a path to the first team.
