Arsenal’s 2024/25 title charge is now set with the Gunners having done all they can to prepare for the new season.
However, there is still time for Arsenal to add to their squad with two weeks remaining in the transfer market before the window shuts till January.
Mikel Arteta has one new signing at his disposal on Saturday against Wolves following the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori.
Aside from the Italian, it is much of the same at the Emirates following an impressive 2023/24 campaign which saw them finish just two points off the top.
But the north London side are still trying to work some late deals before the end of the month to strengthen their squad for – what they’ll hope to be – another title push.

Arsenal now eyeing £21m player after Mikel Merino
The Gunners are closing in on their second signing of the summer but it is not going to be completed in time for their season opener.
Arsenal have agreed terms with Real Sociedad for Mikel Merino after negotiations have gone on over the last month.
And according to Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth, the Gunners are already turning their attention towards potential signing number three with a £21m addition.

With a deal for Merino being finalised, Sheth has claimed Arsenal are now looking at Joan Garcia as their third signing if Aaron Ramsdale is to move on.
“Arsenal will, of course, need to go into the market to bring in a goalkeeper [if Aaron Ramsdale leaves],” Sheth told GiveMeSport.
“And the Espanyol goalkeeper, a Spain Under-21 international, Joan Garcia is a player that they’ve been looking at.
“So,he would come in to fill in that quota of the goalkeepers that would be behind David Raya in the pecking order.”
Joan Garcia was tempted to join Tottenham this summer
Although it is the Gunners which are looking like they could land Garcia this summer, their north London rivals were also in the mix.
Earlier in the summer, it was reported by AS that Tottenham were the ‘most tempting’ offer on the table for Garcia.
The report says Spurs could have already sent a concrete proposal for the goalkeeper but with weeks remaining in the window it seems their attentions may have just turned elsewhere.
It is unlikely the Spaniard would have earned first team minutes there, either. But it now seems as if Arenal may have jumped ahead of Spurs in the queue.
