Arsenal are yet to come to life in this summer transfer window.
This time last year, the Gunners had already lined up the signings of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz, but, at the moment, things appear to be quiet on the transfer front.
However, that isn’t to say that Arsenal aren’t working on deals in the shadows.
Indeed, according to Dean Jones, speaking on the Ranks FC Podcast, one of his transfer sources has claimed that Arsenal are doing things in the background at the moment that they’re trying to keep quiet.

Arsenal working on deals in silence
Jones shared what he’s heard from a source about Arsenal.
“Think about how the Sesko rumour went for a while and Arsenal let it play out. Someone said to me at the time that Arsenal would be happy to do that because they have things going on in the background at all times that they’re trying to keep quiet,” Jones said.
Arsenal working on something interesting
It’s very intriguing to hear that Arsenal are working on something in the background.
Of course, most will have now heard about the links to Riccardo Calafiori, but there’s still some midfield and attacking issues that need addressing in this summer transfer window.
It may be that we don’t hear about this potential signing until it’s close to completion, but the fact that Arsenal have something going on behind the scenes that they’re desperately trying to keep quiet is exciting to say the least.
It has been a slow transfer window so far, but things could spark into life at any moment, and while it may seem like Arsenal aren’t active, make no mistake about it, Mikel Arteta and Edu aren’t just sitting on their hands waiting for something to happen.
There could be a flurry of activity at Arsenal in the coming weeks.
