Arsenal and Tottenham target Wan-Bissaka gives clear update on Crystal Palace future

Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka has said he intends to remain at Selhurst Park next season, according to the Evening Standard.

Wan-Bissaka has been outstanding this season, which has led to rumours about his future. The Sun reported back in February that Arsenal were keen on the right back and prepared to pay £40m to land him.

Last month, Tottenham were credited by the Evening Standard with an interest, raising the prospect of a transfer tussle between the north London rivals.

But Wan-Bissaka has done his best to quell the rumours, saying: “I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season. I have got three years left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.”

It’s no surprise that Wan-Bissaka has attracted attention from across the Premier League – he looks a real star in the making.

He may be making a wise call to stay at Palace and carry on learning his trade but at the same time, it can’t be taken for granted that his stock will remain this high – this could be his chance.

That’s unlikely though, if he keeps up his current performance level – and this declaration, coming so early in the window could well be a blow for the north London clubs.
