Real Madrid midfielder, James Rodriguez, has talked up the potential of a move to England and the Premier League, amid reported interest from both Arsenal and Tottenham this summer.
The Colombian star, who moved to Madrid in a mega-money deal following an excellent 2014 World Cup, has fallen down the pecking order for Real and has spent time with Bayern Munich in the last few seasons.

Arsenal was linked just last week with a move, with AS claiming they were among the teams keen. Meanwhile, CanalRCN claimed back in April that Spurs were also in the mix for Rodriguez.
And in a recent interview, Rodriguez has admitted the Premier League appeals to him. (Interview with Daniel Habif, quotes via Goal)
“I’ve already been in several good leagues and the only thing missing is Serie A and the Premier League, you have to see where I want to go or where they want me to go. Going to England would be a good thing, it’s a top league.”
Those comments could well perk the interest of the Gunners and Spurs. Everton boss, Carlo Ancelotti, is also said to be a fan of the Madrid star and has himself been linked with a move.
He might want a move, but it seems unlikely now – TBR View
It would be great for the Premier League and indeed all those clubs mentioned to see Rodriguez on board. However, the truth is that he’s unlikely to see the move come to fruition.

He is on mammoth wages in Madrid for a start. Secondly, Arsenal are eyeing other targets and have just splashed big wages on Willian.
Spurs don’t seem capable of putting together the sort of package to entice him, while Ancelotti has admitted before he might be out of Everton’s league.
For all Rodriguez’s talent, it looks like the Premier League might have missed the boat.
