Scotland midfielder Ryan Fraser has admitted that his international team-mates have been asking about his future. But he has told them that he does not know what the immediate future holds, BBC Sport reports.
Fraser has been linked with a move away from Bournemouth this summer. According to The Daily Star, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both chasing the Scotland international winger.
After an impressive season at Bournemouth, Fraser could be set for a big summer move. Arsenal and Spurs could offer him the chance to move to North London and compete in Europe. But Fraser is unsure what his future holds.
Fraser told BBC Sport Scotland: “The lads have been asking. “I don’t know myself so there’s no point thinking about it, wherever I’ll be, I’ll be. I don’t know what is happening.
“I’m not just saying that. Wherever I’ll be, if it’s Bournemouth or if it’s at somebody else, then all you can do is try your best and enjoy football.”
Fraser is an exciting talent and his comments indicate that he remains open to leaving Bournemouth this summer. He probably feels it is time to test himself at a higher level.
The 25-year-old chalked up a tally of eight goals and 15 assists last season so it is no surprise to see him linked with a summer exit.
He will find it harder to get regular playing time at Arsenal or Tottenham. But this is the risk he needs to take as he makes his next career step.
