Arsenal and Tottenham have been handed a boost in the quest to sign Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, with ABC Sports reporting that he’s declined a final contract offer from the Spanish outfit.
Both North London clubs were approached, according to the Daily Mirror, with Vazquez now seemingly keen to seek a move away from the Bernabeu this summer.
The 29-year-old will be available for free when the season ends, with his Los Blancos contract set to expire. He has made 31 appearances for the La Liga side this season, registering seven assists.

Vazquez is a product of the club’s youth academy and has been with the club since 2007. In total he has played 237 games for the club, scoring 26 goals and claiming 53 assists.
His arrival in the Premier League would be an interesting one and on a free transfer, he could prove a decent piece of business.
Vazquez can play anywhere on the right-hand side and has operated in both defensive and offensive positions for Real Madrid.
The versatile performer has nine Spain caps and would probably be welcomed into both Tottenham or Arsenal ranks during the summer.
Vazquez has helped Madrid to three Champions League titles and two La Liga crowns during his time playing for the club.
