Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a potential boost in their reported interest for Bayer Leverkusen ace Kai Havertz, according to a report by Bild.
The 20-year-old has been sensational for the Bundesliga side over the past few years, clocking up 139 senior appearances in all competitions already despite being just 20.
Havertz has also claimed 38 goals and 30 assists for Leverkusen, and has already won seven caps for Germany, so it’s little surprise that he is being linked with some of Europe’s top clubs.

As well as Arsenal and Tottenham, the likes of Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all said to be keen on the Leverkusen ace, according to Goal.
Earlier this month, Sky in Germany, reported that Havertz had his sights set on a move to Bayern, but the player has now told Bild of his willingness to “take a big step”, even away from Germany.
“I’m ready to take a big step, and I like challenges,” he said. “For me, this also includes abroad.
“Leverkusen are a great club, I feel good. I have always said that. But, of course, I want to take the next step in my career at some point. That’s my ambition.”

Last week, it was reported that Havertz was not looking to ply his trade abroad, but he has now gone on record to say he’s willing to do so – thus putting the likes of Arsenal
Havertz is undoubtedly a world-class player and a potential future superstar – Bayern cult hero Owen Hargreaves described him as an “absolute diamond”, “the real deal” and “everything”.
Lionel Messi, meanwhile, named him in his top 15 “youth on the rise” players for Topps Champions League cards and said: “His composure in front of goal is so impressive for such a young player.”

Admittedly, the reported £100million price tag wouldn’t be easy to meet for the majority of clubs in Europe, particularly in wake of the global health crisis and the potential “big crunch” in the football industry.
However, given just how talented Havertz is, he would surely be a worthy investment, and not that implausible if either Arsenal and Spurs bolster their war chests with sales of players – and both sides seem to have several they could cash in on.
