Arsenal and Liverpool are both tracking exciting young Spanish star, Alberto Moleiro, with Aston Villa also said to be keen.
The Daily Mail brings the report, suggesting that Unai Emery is keen on exploring a deal to bring Moleiro to Villa Park.
However, the Villa boss faces competition, with both Arsenal and Liverpool – as well as Real Madrid – mentioned as being keen on landing Moleiro if they can.
Liverpool’s interest in Moleiro goes back a few months anyway. However, it appears that the Gunners have also joined the race now, while Emery clearly fancies a raid on a country he knows all too well.

Moleiro, still just 19, is being lauded as one of the best up and coming attacking midfielders in Spain. Indeed, he’s even been compared to Barcelona starlet Pedri and Goal praised the midfielder for having ‘electric pace’.
Of course, interest from Arsenal and Liverpool is probably more with a look to the future. Both clubs are keen to add to their squads in January, with the Reds already having signed Cody Gakpo.
Arsenal, meanwhile, want to land Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk if possible. However, both deals are proving tough to get over the line as things stand.
TBR’s View: Moleiro one to watch for Arsenal and Liverpool
It’s abundantly clear why the PL duo want to sign Moleiro. Any player credited with being similar to someone like Pedri must have something about them.
The only issue here is that the clubs’ focus needs to be elsewhere right now. For Arsenal, there’s a title there to be won and for Liverpool, the top four is slipping away by the week.
Moleiro probably doesn’t improve those prospects right now. So while he’s one for the future, it’s unlikely either will make big moves to sign him in January.
