Liverpool are considered one of the favourites to challenge for the Premier League title after an unbeaten start in their opening nine games, but many feel they are still lacking a creative midfielder.

The Reds have a host of options in the centre of the park, as both Keita and Fabinho were added to the existing options at Anfield over the summer.

Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana are players in midfield for manager Jurgen Klopp, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a long-term injury absentee.

Lallana is perhaps the most forward-thinking of those and possesses magic to unlock the door, but the Merseyside club could do with an extra creator.

Arsenal are a side just two points off the pace at the top of the league after their impressive start and they posses a brilliant midfield creator in their ranks that is in top form.

Mesut Ozil turned on the style for the Gunners on Monday night in a 3-1 win over Leicester City, as he scored one and assisted another in spectacular fashion.

The 30-year-old is often criticised for going quiet in matches, but he reminded everyone of his top-class ability on Monday and has been one of the best number 10’s in world football over the last decade.

He cost Arsenal £42.5million (Guardian) back in 2013 and has been sensational in the Premier League when on form.

Liverpool would definitely love to have someone of Ozil’s technical ability within their ranks and the German would be a match made in heaven with Jurgen Klopp.
