Arsenal have been linked with a move for Juventus prodigy Kenan Yildiz in recent days.

Earlier this week, the Gunners were named as one of the 18-year-old attacker’s prospective suitors.

According to Aksam, Arsenal and Liverpool are preparing to knock on the Italians’ door this summer.

Both the Gunners and the Reds are apparently be willing to offer €40million (£34million) for Yildiz.

However, a new report from Italy claims that Arsenal – and Liverpool – would have to pay around £17million more.

Calcio in Pillole has reported that Juve apparently want at least €60million (£51million) for Yildiz.

To make things worse for Arsenal, the report says Manchester United have also ‘tested the waters’ for the Turkiye international.

Arsenal target Kenan Yildiz deemed to have technique ‘superior’ to Cristiano Ronaldo

Yildiz, who can play as an attacking midfielder, a forward, or even wide, is considered one of the rising stars of Serie A.

At just 18 years of age, he already has 17 competitive Juve outings and three international caps under his belt.

Turkiye Under-19 manager Soykan Baskar spoke very highly of the reported Arsenal target a few months ago.

“Two years ago many big clubs were interested in him,” he told A Spor, via Calciomercato.

“Yildiz is more talented than Cristiano Ronaldo. His technique with the ball is superior to that of Portuguese.”

While this is a pretty big claim to make, the fact Yildiz is already playing for Juve’s senior team and for his nation shows that there is certainly a lot of talent there.

Let’s see what happens in the coming months. Arsenal will certainly fancy their chances of landing the young attacking talent, but there’s a lot of competition for his services.
