Tottenham Hotspur transfer target Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld has admitted he could leave Club Brugge this summer.

Voetbal International is reporting that Tottenham are looking at a potential move for the 22-year-old Dutch international this summer.

This follows reports from January which also suggested that Tottenham wanted the player. The Daily Mail claimed Spurs were keen on the player, with AC Milan having a £9 million bid rejected.

Now, the player has confirmed he is considering an exit from Belgian football this summer.

Speaking to Voetbal International he confirmed he would consider a move to a ‘step higher’ in order to help secure his place in Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands squad ahead of Euro 2020.

“There is certainly concrete interest. I am honest. I’m considering a departure. I am ambitious and would like to take steps. If I get the chance, why not?”

“One of the most important factors for me is the European Championship 2020. That is a primary goal for me, I really want to go there. If a step higher helps me to do that, it gives me a push to think about it…”

The same publication reported Southampton as also being interested in his signature earlier today.

The Nigerian-born talent joined Brugge last summer from NEC Nijmegen. A former PSV youngster, Groeneveld went on to have an excellent start to the season in Belgium.

Groeneveld soon earned his first Dutch senior cap and scored his first goal for his nation on his second appearance against Belgium.

Unfortunately, Groeneveld struggled to recover his best form after an ankle injury suffered in March.

But it does seem Groeneveld would make the move if Tottenham are indeed interested this summer.
