Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik wanted to join Everton during the summer transfer window but Carlo Ancelotti wasn’t keen on a reunion with the 26-year-old.
Tutto Napoli claims that the uncompromising striker was very keen on a move to Goodison Park having been unconvinced by Fiorentina.
Milik was keen on Everton, PSG or Atletico, although no move transpired and he’s now it’s likely he will remain at Napoli until January.

The report claims that Ancelotti declined the chance to sign Milik as he didn’t fit the profile of the kind of striker he wanted.
Everton have raced out of the blocks during 2020/21 winning all four games. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in blistering form and the decision not to sign Milik looks the correct one right now.
It is thought that Ancelotti wanted a counter-attacking striker, probably someone with different traits to that of Calvert-Lewin.
Milik scored 14 goals last season from 35 appearances and proved himself as one of the top strikers in Serie A.
Napoli were hoping to recoup £23 million for the Polish striker but those chances now look bleak with the player out of contract next summer.
It’s hard to argue with Ancelotti’s summer dealings or the fact that he chose not to sign another striker, with Calvert-Lewin relishing the confidence from his gaffer.
James Rodriguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure were added and all three have made a significant impact at Goodison Park already.

Ancelotti is well on course to lead Everton back into Europe and once there you wouldn’t back against them improving further.
The Toffees are firmly on the up and whether the boss returns to try and sign Milik in the future remains to be seen.
