Over the years, Hugo Lloris has been an excellent servant for Tottenham Hotspur.
With over 250 appearances to his name, Lloris has provided six impressive seasons between the sticks for the North London outfit.
But his form has been questionable this season and many Spurs fans are already thinking about life after Lloris.
The 31-year-old is coming towards the final few years of his career and while he still has plenty left to give, Tottenham do need to find his successor.
Paulo Gazzaniga’s performances this season have thrust him into contention but Spurs will want a new goalkeeper to provide competition as well.
Alphonse Areola is the perfect candidate to replace Lloris for both Tottenham and the France national team.

The 25-year-old will be available on a free transfer this summer, unless he signs a contract extension with PSG.
And Spurs need to act quickly to arrange a pre-contract deal for the twice-capped France international.
Areola is an excellent all-round goalkeeper; his shot stopping is impressive and his 6ft 5in frame makes him dominant in the air.
With Gianluigi Buffon at PSG, Areola’s playing time has been more limited than he would like.
If he moved to Spurs, he could take the gloves from Lloris and be the long-term option for Pochettino’s men.
