
Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott did his first team chances no harm yesterday evening he dazzled against Athletic Bilbao in a friendly match.

Elliott was selected to start for Liverpool in front of an Anfield crowd, and the teenager showed just why there is so much excitement about his potential.
Elliott’s display during the contest was simply brilliant, and he was arguably Liverpool’s best player during the contest.
But the youngster actually started catching the eye even before kick off.
Elliott showed his finishing ability during the warm-up as he bent in two brilliant left-footed shots before scoring a header in a training drill.
The feat was captured on camera by one Liverpool supporter, and the reaction on social media had many Reds fans comparing their own prospect with Lionel Messi.
Staying around?
Elliott has had a superb pre-season at Liverpool, which may well ensure that he keeps his place in Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the season.
He was loaned out last season to the Championship and caught the eye while playing for Blackburn Rovers.
And it seems that he may well be given a role as an impact sub in Liverpool’s squad this time around now.
