Massimiliano Allegri

Another young-faced manager at 48, Massimiliano Allegri was the replacement of Conte at Juventus and had a major job to follow but boy did he follow it up well. Allegri led Juventus to a comfortable Serie A title defence as well as a Champions League final meeting with Barcelona that ultimately ended in a 3-1 defeat but still remained one of Juve’s most successful seasons in years. Managing to keep the like of Paul Pogba at the club can also be seen as a great achievement. The Italian has been strongly linked with the Chelsea job but remains firm that he is happy at Juve but Mr. Abramovich doesn’t normally take no for an answer.

Fabio Capello

A less likely figure to appear at the gates of Stamford Bridge; but certainly not impossible, is former England manager Fabio Capello. The Italian has had a very successful career with three spells at Milan during which he won three successive Serie A titles and two periods with Real Madrid which produced two La Liga trophies. However, success has been limited since then with dry spells in international management but Capello could definitely do a job at Chelsea, but it would be far from a long-term appointment.
