Diego Simeone
The Premier League has watched with interest at how this hot blooded Argentinian has taken La Liga by storm in the past five years. It takes one hell of a manager to knock Barcelona and Real Madrid of their pedestals even if it was just for the one season. Diego Simeone’s passionate and tactically astute management approach saw Atlético Madrid topple their ‘Galactico’ neighbours for the first time in decades. The 2013/14 season saw Atlético win La Liga on the final day at the Camp Nou and narrowly miss out on Champions League glory to their city rivals. Although being fairly young at 45 years of age, the Argentinian is a luring prospect and could be a perfect fit for Chelsea.
Antonio Conte
The charismatic 46-year-old Italian boss Antonio Conte is one of the most decorated Italian players you can find and boasts three Serie A titles already in his managerial career which sit nicely with the 15 titles he won as a player. The former central midfielder also won Best Coach of the Year award in 2013 for his success at Juventus. He had a three year spell at the ‘Old Lady’ in which he produced a Serie A title in each of them as well as two Supercoppa Italiana. His time in charge of Italy will ultimately come down to how they perform at Euro 2016 but he has already proved himself to be a worthy contender of the role in London.
