Aaron Cresswell

One full-back that hasn’t put a foot wrong this season is Aaron Cresswell but breaking into the England squad will be extremely difficult for the West Ham defender. The Hammers left-back is a player that Irons fans are constantly suggesting and they’re not wrong to. Cresswell has been very impressive since his move from Ipswich Town to Upton Park and is highly rated at the London club.

Slaven Bilic claims that Cresswell and team-mate Mark Noble deserve international recognition, a sentiment shared by a lot of football fans even outside of the Boleyn Ground. Only two defenders have made more key passes and assists this season than Aaron Cresswell which shows the attacking threat that the 26-year-old poses. To have an uncapped player with the quality that Cresswell has shown in the Premier League over the course of the past two seasons shows the quality that Hodgson has to pick from in that position.
