Kieran Trippier

25-year-old right-back Trippier shares mintues with established Premier League and England international Kyle Walker. That is no mean feat in itself, but Trippier is destined for more than just that accolade. Despite playing in just his second Premier League season this year, Trippier is another to prove that the Championship and Football League is a fine training ground for young players.

He had 12 assists in Burnley’s promotion campaign to the top flight in 2013/14, and after featuring prominently for the Clarets in their ultimately unsuccessful Premier League campaign in 2014/15, the former Manchester City youth player signed for Spurs.

Not only is Kyle Walker ahead of Trippier in the Spurs team, he also is in the England set up. Nonetheless, Trippier will likely feature for England at some point in his career, therefore validating his selection in this list.

Tom Carroll

After bouncing around loan spells at Leyton Orient, Derby County, QPR and Swansea City, Tom Carroll is gradually starting to propel himself into the Spurs team. He scored his first Premier League goal against Norwich City this season, adding to his Spurs tally from Europa League fixtures.

With seventeen England U21 caps over two years, the national coaching staff must see something in the 23 year old midfielder. Carroll is another who is likely to feature for England in the future, but probably not as a starter.
