Harry Kane

This season Harry Kane was well and truly dispelled myth of being a one season wonder, banded around by some in pre-season. In late February Kane has 16 Premier League goals to his name with a further three in cup competitions (correct at time of writing). He hit 21 in the league last season, and is on course to emulate that total this year.

It remains to be seen if Kane will habitually hit 20 a season in the top flight, but looking to this summer, this man has got to feature. Right foot, left foot, aerial presence, ball retention and an underrated runner with the ball, if he keeps notching at the rate he is now Harry Kane will be England’s go to striker for some time to come.

Dele Alli

The 2015 Football League Player of the Year is doing a fantastic job of advertising the talents of League One, and assuming he continues his development will surely be a mainstay in the England side for years to come.

Alli possesses an aggressive side (look no further than the first leg tie versus Fiorentina for evidence) but combines this with silky skills, excellent touches and confident strides with the ball at feet. Yes, he hit that wonder goal against Crystal Palace, but irrespective of that one strike Alli has shown on a consistent basis this season for Spurs that he can play at the highest level.

With four caps and a goal to the 19-year-old’s name already, expect Alli, like Kane to be one of the first names on the England teamsheet for the foreseeable future.
