Lyon

Fifth in Ligue 1, the Europa League has provided a respite for Lyon despite concerning going-ons off the field in their quarter final clash with Besiktas, from which they emerged victorious on penalties in the second leg. Now, they will have their targets set on winning their first trophy since the 2012 Trophée des Champions.

With a squad including some talented players, such as the in demand Alexandre Lacazette, the experienced Mathieu Valbuena and the next big thing in Jordy Gaspar, they may not be able to field former United winger Memphis Depay, but will be in short supply of talent when they look to secure a place in the final in Stockholm.

Their chances of victory could come down to the form and fitness of Alexandre Lacazette, though, with something of a reliance on their top goalscorer with 31 strikes to his name this season. Suffering from a niggling muscle injury, manager Bruno Génésio may have to gamble on his star man’s fitness if they are to stand a chance of winning the trophy.
