Antonio Conte's interest piqued by Newcastle job
Conte is interested in Newcastle job after Saudi takeover.
The Italian has been out of a job since he left Inter Milan at the end of last season.
Conte has had great success with Chelsea and Inter Milan in his last two posts and could now end up on Tyneside.
The Magpies would be going from strength to strength if they were to appoint Conte so soon over this takeover.
Reports from The Chronicle suggest that the 52-year-old is keen on a return to the Premier League as Newcastle want him.
Over the summer, Conte snubbed Tottenham Hotspur.
The Lilywhites seemed close to hiring Conte to replace Jose Mourinho.
However, Conte turned down the chance to take the Spurs job (The Mirror).
Upon splitting from Inter at the end of last year Conte agreed with the Nerazzurri that he wouldn’t return to a SerieA club until 2022.
That leaves the Premier League as a prime destination for Conte.

One of the key things that will dictate whether this happens is transfers.
Conte will want full control over who comes and goes from St. James’ Park.
Currently, the Geordies have a squad capable of not much more than survival.
If Conte is to come to the club he will want a full overhaul.
The Italian will likely also want to see the facilities at the club greatly improved.
It could be a case of this potential appointment surfacing too soon.
A project manager could be better in the short-term for Newcastle as they begin their ascent to become a powerhouse again.
However, if Conte is willing to take on a long-term plan and turn Newcastle around, the club will jump at the chance.
