Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho thought he’d be a “future captain”. And Mauricio Pochettino said he was a “top” player with a bright future.

Conte is also a big fan of Skipp, previously telling football.london: “In every game he’s playing and he’s good.”

The same outlet has now reported that the Italian believes can become a top Premier League player if he continues to improve under his tutelage.

Last season, Skipp was superb on loan at Norwich, helping them return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Now, he’s finally getting his chance in the Spurs first team, with 24 appearances to his name this season.

Skipp clearly has the quality and the attitude to develop into a world-class player and it’s great to see Conte having taken such a shine to him.
