Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte stood and applauded Richarlion’s hard-work in the first-half against Fulham on Saturday.

In a video on the club’s official website, Conte can be seen clapping after Richarlison won the ball back for his side.

Spurs maintained their unbeaten start to the new season on Saturday as they beat newly-promoted Fulham 2-1.

Richarlison was handed his first start under Conte and the 25-year-old certainly impressed.

The Brazil international set up Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg for Spurs’ opener and was very unlucky to have not grabbed his first goal.

He hit the post with a brilliant effort just before Fulham’s consolation goal and had an effort chalked off by VAR. But it wasn’t just his attacking display that impressed Conte.

Conte stood and applauded Richarlison

In a moment during the first-half, Richarlison won the ball back just outside Fulham’s penalty area.

And after his hard-work, Conte stood and applauded his player in a video on Spurs Play.

The former Everton man then put a delightful cross into the box, but Eric Dier put his effort over the bar.

Richarlison had made four substitute appearances for his new side before Saturday and made an impression every time.

The Brazilian was finally given the nod by Conte on Saturday and he seems impressed with his new signing.

The Italian has a wealth of options in attack with the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane in his squad.

But Richarlison is certainly pushing the attacking trio and fully deserved to start on Saturday.

Kulusevski was the player who was sacrificed against Fulham. But it will be interesting to see if Conte drops Son or Kane for the Brazilian in the future.

Richarlison gives Conte a different option in attack with his aggressive, hard-working style of play.

And the moment the Italian applauded him sums up the former Everton man’s attitude on the pitch.
