Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine run of form under Antonio Conte as they saw off Crystal Palace with ease in their Boxing Day clash today.
Harry Kane was once again among the goal scorers, while both Lucas Moura and Heung Min Son got themselves in the act as well. For Conte, it is now 14 points from 18 since he took over from Nuno Espirito Santo.
One of the key issues Conte is having to manage at Spurs is squad rotation. A number of injuries in addition to Covid cases in recent weeks have hampered the Italian’s plans. However, after the excellent showing against Liverpool, Tottenham once again delivered.

Today, Conte used the ease of the win to take Harry Kane off for a rest. And speaking to the BBC after the game, the Italian explained why it’s so hard to leave Kane out of his team.
“I always say we are talking about a top-class striker and a player that for us is very important. Today I had the possibility to give him a bit of rest and for him to play only 60 minutes for us was important. Kane is a player it is very difficult to decide to put in a rotation,” Conte told the BBC.
Kane has now scored in successive games to look like he is finally up and running. Tottenham, meanwhile, continue to challenge and have every chance of sealing European football under Conte.
TBR’s View: Kane One Of The Premier League’s Undroppables
And that’s not just with Tottenham either. Kane would be almost undroppable in any other Premier League team.
Today he showed his quality in front of goal and if he can keep among the goals, then Conte and Spurs have every chance of a brilliant second half to the season.
Kane’s future will continue to be discussed. But as long as he’s scoring goals and Tottenham are winning, then Antonio Conte won’t care one bit.
