Antonio Conte did not look happy with Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal’s crossing against Wolves, with the boss spotted screaming at his bench in a video on the club’s website

Spurs managed to grab a 1-0 win against Wolves on Saturday after a much improved second-half display.

Conte’s men were second best in the first-half but earned all three points thanks to a Harry Kane header.

Tottenham were a much improved side in the second-half as they began to take more control of the game and create chances.

But Conte didn’t appear to be impressed with Emerson’s crossing towards the end of the game.

In a video on Spurs Play, Conte can be seen waving his arms in frustration after a poor cross from the Brazilian

Spurs broke up the pitch well and Kulusevski played Emerson in on the right-hand side.

But with two players to aim at, the 23-year-old hit the ball behind both of them and left his manager furious.

The Italian waved his arms in the air, then turned to his bench and screamed in the direction of them.

Conte not happy with Emerson’s crossing

Emerson made the switch from Barcelona last summer for a fee worth up to £25.8 million (BBC).

The former Barca man got off to a poor start in North London but put in some promising displays at the end of the last campaign.

But his crossing has often come under scrutiny with Spurs fans, despite his competent defensive work.

Conte’s system requires his wing-backs to provide creativity, and that is an area Emerson will have to improve on.

The wing-back also faces stiff competition for his place in the side, with Matt Doherty and Djed Spence waiting for their opportunity.

But for the time being, it seems like it’s Emerson’s place to lose and the Brazilian will be keen to improve his end product over the coming campaign.
