Ramon Vega has urged Tottenham to form a reunion between Fabio Paratici and Paulo Dybala under Antonio Conte – after the latter scored a brace.
Dybala, 27, almost joined Tottenham in 2019. In what proved to be Mauricio Pochettino’s last window in charge, image rights scuppered a deal.
The Argentina international has remained at Juventus, proving to be one of the Old Lady’s most-influential players. He is pivotal under Max Allegri.
This season, Dybala has 10 goal involvements in 10 games – scoring six and creating four more. Two of those goals came on Tuesday night.
Captaining the side for a seventh time this season, Dybala netted a brilliant brace as Juve saw off the challenge of Zenit to win 4-2 in Turin.
With Conte in place at Tottenham on an 18-month deal, ex-Spurs man Vega urged his old club to sign Dybala – who joined Juve a year after Conte left.
Dybala to Tottenham: Paratici would make perfect first Conte signing
While Dybala did not play under Conte, the two share a mutual interest in Juventus. But both share a friend, in that of sporting director Paratici.
The current Spurs chief brought Dybala to Juventus from Palermo – and worked alongside Conte at Juventus for three years.
Dybala remains out of contract at the end of the season, but Gazzetta report that Juventus are closing in on a deal to hand him a £164,000-a-week deal.
Could Spurs steal in – as per Vega’s request? Clearly, he is well-liked at Spurs. Having Paratici and Conte in place might prove tempting for Dybala, too.
