Anthony Gordon was amongst the players to send a message to Djed Spence on Instagram after Tottenham Hotspur announced the arrival of the right wing-back on Tuesday.
Spence has become Spurs’ sixth signing of the summer window. According to BBC Sport, Antonio Conte’s men have paid Middlesbrough £12.5 million up front while a further £7.5 million could come in add-ons.

The move comes off the back of an amazing year for the 21-year-old. He was given the green light to leave Boro on loan.
Spence went on to help Nottingham Forest reach the Premier League. Along the way, he shone in FA Cup clashes against Arsenal, Leicester City and Liverpool.

So it appears to be a real coup for Tottenham to bring him to North London.
Spence took to social media to express his delight about the move. And amongst those to congratulate the defender was Gordon, who currently plays alongside the new Tottenham signing with the England under-21 side…

Gordon congratulates Spence on Tottenham move
Of course, Gordon’s response is a little more interesting because it was not too long ago that Gordon was being linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In fact, reports claimed that Spurs bid £100 million for both Gordon and Richarlison. Obviously, they ended up agreeing a deal with Everton for the Brazilian.
It appears that Gordon is going to be staying at Goodison Park for this summer. But given the impact he made last season, you would not be at all surprised to see Spurs make a move for the winger in a future window.
