Anthony Gordon posts on Twitter after signing Everton deal, some fans react

Highly-rated playmaker Anthony Gordon has posted his delight on Twitter after signing a new deal with Everton – and Toffees fans are particularly delighted.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a deal to keep him at Goodison Park until the summer of 2023. Despite his tender age, he has already become a regular in David Unsworth’s Under-23 side.

In 30 appearances for Everton’s Under-18 side, Gordon had scored 16 goals in 30 appearances. He can play both out wide, as a second striker or in the number 10 role.

He has since featured 10 times for the club’s second string and even made one senior appearance – playing two minutes in the 3-0 win over Apollon Limassol last season. He posted on Twitter after agreeing a new contract.

Gordon already has eight England Under-18 caps for the Young Lions. The youngster is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming products in Everton’s academy.

He is on the brink of a first-team call-up and Everton fans reacted on Twitter to his new deal. The majority of fans were delighted to see him declare his future with the club and are now expecting to see him in the first team.
