Anthony Gordon looks set for a bright future at Everton and boss Carlo Ancelotti has been speaking about the talented forward.
According to reports, the Italian is considering promoting the youngster into his first-team plans for the weekend’s game with Brighton.
The 18-year-old has been on the bench for four Premier League games this season and made an appearance during a Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester City.
Last weekend Everton were embarrassed by a youthful Liverpool team in the FA Cup. Curtis Jones netted a stunning goal to send a full-strength Toffees team packing.

As a result of that defeat, Ancelotti has read the riot act and he could now make some serious changes.
The recently appointed boss has been speaking about Gordon and claims he is on his way to the top.
He told Everton TV: “He is working with us. He has the quality to be at the top level but he has to gain more knowledge and experience but he is very good.
“The first team has to have a strong relationship with the academy, we have to work together to improve the players from the youth system.”
Everton have started to climb the table under Ancelotti but last weekend’s result was a setback.
Opportunity knocks
The Toffees can now put their sole focus on climbing the Premier League even further for the remainder of the campaign.

Gordon’s inclusion in the first-team could be just the tonic for Everton supporters.
The club has a proud history with their academy. As a result, Gordon could provide a useful spark of energy.
He is a player with bags of potential. If Gordon can take his opportunity this weekend he could be handed a prolonged run in the team.
