‘Another stellar defensive display’: Some fans wowed by 6ft 5in Arsenal man’s on-loan heroics today

Arsenal academy defender Zech Medley is currently away from the Emirates Stadium on loan, and today he won plaudits for a great goalscoring performance.

The 20-year-old is currently at Kilmarnock, having joined the Scottish Premiership side in February after being recalled from Gillingham.

Medley had been on loan with the League One side since August and has moved north of the border to continue his development.

The 6ft 5in centre-back has made five appearances to date for Killie, and on Saturday, he helped his current side register a 1-1 draw with Dundee United at Rugby Park.

Adrian Sporle had opened the scoring for the visitors in the 18th minute, Medley losing possession deep inside his half in the build-up.

However, the Hale End ace made amends with a solid performance thereafter as well as the equalising goal, netting from a corner in the 64th minute.

It was Medley’s first career goal, his team’s first in six matches, and the draw ended an eight-match losing run.

And plenty of fans were pleased with Medley’s efforts at the end of the game:
