‘Another level’: Bryan Gil and Juventus star seriously impressed by £20m Tottenham player yesterday

Bryan Gil and Juventus star Juan Cuadrado were seriously impressed by Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur’s display yesterday.

Spurs picked up an important win against Leeds after a thrilling affair in north London yesterday.

Antonio Conte’s men went behind three times in the game but fought back each time and secured a 4-3 victory.

Harry Kane and Ben Davies got Spurs back on level terms before Bentancur bagged a quickfire brace in the final ten minutes of the game.

The £20 million man has now scored four goals in his last five appearances in all competitions and his most recent display has earned him high praise on Instagram

Gil and Cuadrado seriously impressed by Bentancur

Bentancur posted on the social media platform following yesterday’s comeback win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

He wrote: “So proud of my team. Once again we showed determination and great character. Massive win.”

Gil replied underneath the post: “You just on another level…,” alongside a heart emoji.

Bentancur’s former teammates Cuadrado and Danilo were also full of praise for the former Juve man.

Cuadrado posted three fire emojis underneath the post, while Danilo wrote: “Scorer.”

Bentancur has started to add goals to his game in recent weeks and has now took his total to five this season after yesterday.

The 25-year-old has been a standout performer ever since making the switch from Turin back in January. The Uruguayan seems to have stepped his performances up another level during the current campaign too.

Conte’s men displayed excellent resilience once again yesterday after falling behind in-front of a sold-out home crowd.

The win keeps Tottenham in the top-four heading into the World Cup after a difficult run of form in recent weeks.

Conte will be hoping his side can drop the bad habit of falling behind in games after the tournament in Qatar and become a more consistent outfit during the second-half of the campaign.
