Jack Roles has been one of the revelations of the campaign for Tottenham under 23s and his prolific form of late could be set to put him in the first team picture if he can continue to impress Mauricio Pochettino.
The attacking midfielder has notched goals in back-to-back games, scoring against Chelsea and then Wolfsburg, to take his tally to the season to six, in addition to a further five assists in his 18 games this season.
On Monday night, he produced arguably his best display of the year, breaking the deadlock in injury time of the first half and then going on to set up Kazaiah Sterling to double the team’s lead early on in the second half.

Roles has clearly made an impact and at 19-years-old, still has plenty of room to grow and improve. Playing alongside Mauricio Pochettino’s son Maurizio, it may be easier for him to catch the eye than some may have found.
With other youngsters like Luke Amos and Oliver Skipp being given first team opportunities this season, Roles may be the next player on the factory line, particularly given his flexibility.
Able to cut in from the left or play centrally, Roles could offer a lot to Pochettino’s first team squad as the fixtures come thick and fast and may find that a first team debut is closer than some may expect.
