Liverpool are now reportedly out of contention to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus.
According to BILD via TEAMtalk, the Reds have now next to no chance of signing the Germany international. Indeed, Liverpool had been heavily linked with the 24-year-old midfielder as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.

The Gladbach star enjoyed a breakout season in the Bundesliga, with Neuhaus scoring six goals in 33 league appearances for the German side. Manchester City are also reportedly keen on the midfielder.
Indeed, Liverpool could sign a player in Neuhaus’ position this summer. The departure of Wijnaldum leaves a sizeable hole in the Reds’ midfield. However, this latest update seemingly puts a stop to the German joining the Merseyside club.
Furthermore, some supporters on social media are seemingly happy about Neuhaus now being out of contention as a summer signing for Liverpool. Moreover, some fans keen on the club targeting other players in the transfer window.
Here’s what some fans had to say about Neuhaus on Twitter…

Liverpool have already made one signing this summer in the form of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate. Coincidentally, the centre-back will replace Ozan Kabak in the squad, who has returned to Schalke 04 after the end of his loan spell with the Reds.
