Tottenham Hotspur winger Bryan Gil has described Spurs teammate Rodrigo Bentancur as an “animal”.
The Spain Under-21 ace praised the Uruguay star in wake of Tottenham’s Champions League draw with Sporting CP.
Bentancur delivered an impressive display for Antonio Conte’s Spurs, helping them take something from the game.

Tottenham were dismal in the first half, with Marcus Edwards opening the scoring for Sporting against his former club.
Whatever Conte said in the dressing room at half-time worked a treat, as Spurs were much better after the restart.
Early in the second half, Bentancur embarked on a positive run into the box that resulted in Eric Dier testing the opposition goalkeeper.
This seemed to lift Spurs up as they worked up the gears, and the 25-year-old went on to score the equaliser for his side.
Ivan Perisic swung in a corner and the £20million midfielder outjumped Antonio Adan to head in from six yards out.

In wake of Harry Kane’s disallowed goal, Bentancur’s contribution helped keep Tottenham top of the group.
On Thursday, the January signing took to Instagram with a pledge to “keep fighting” ahead of the crucial meeting with Marseille.
Gil was one of those who commented on Bentancur’s post, hailing him as an “animal”.

And in terms of defensive contributions, he weighed in with four tackles.
