Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has given his verdict on Dejan Kulusevski after the match against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

While Postecoglou has raved about Kulusevski, he has noted one aspect that the Sweden international forward needs to improve on.

So, what has Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou said about Dejan Kulusevski? Let’s take a look.

Ange Postecoglou comments on Tottenham Hotspur forward Dejan Kulusevski

Well, Tottenham Hotspur beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 away from home at the City Ground in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Dejan Kulusevski was one of the best players on the pitch. The 23-year-old provided the assist for Richarlison’s goal in the first half. The Sweden international forward himself scored the second goal for Spurs in the second half.

After the match, Spurs head coach Postecoglou raved about Kulusevski, but he noted that he wants the former Juventus youngster to score more goals.

Kulusevski has scored five goals and given two assists in 17 Premier League matches so far this season.

The Sweden international has scored 12 goals and provided 17 assists in 65 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Postecoglou told Football.London about Kulusevski: “Yeah, he was great. He’s been great all year to be fair. We’ve played him in a number of positions.

“We started him off in the middle and I thought he was really good and causing them problems. I thought we were looking really strong through that early bit and created a couple of really good opportunities.

“Then Brennan goes off and we had to put him wide. We know what he can do out there and we’ve been working hard with him to become more of a goal threat. We feel that’s the one aspect of his game that he still needs to bridge a gap.

“He’s taken that on board and he’s now getting into positions where he can score goals. He has in the last few games and his general work rate is outstanding but he’s got the quality to back it up.”

Dejan Kulusevski could become world class

In my view, Dejan Kulusevski has the potential to become world class for Tottenham Hotspur in the coming years.

The 23-year-old was a regular for Juventus and is one of the first names on the Tottenham teamsheet.

Playing week in and week out is only going to make Kulusevski better. Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville thinks that he could develop into a £100 million player.
