Ange Postecoglou says ‘fantastic’ 21-year-old could feature for Tottenham against Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has claimed that Destiny Udogie is in with a shout of featuring on Saturday.

The Spurs boss, speaking to football.london, said on Friday that the 21-year-old has a “chance” of returning to full fitness for the Crystal Palace clash.

Udogie suffered a knee knock in Tottenham’s win over Brighton on 10 February and missed the subsequent match, the loss to Wolves.

With Spurs not in action last week, the 21-year-old has had a bit more time to recover. Now, it looks as though he may well be back.

Postecoglou dropped some team news on Friday involving the likes of Udogie, saying: “Destiny has a chance.

“He’s trained so we’ll see how he pulls up. Pedro [Porro] is probably still another week away.

“Richarlison is out for three to four weeks. He picked up a bit of a knee injury in the last game.

Ryan [Sessegnon] had a bit of a setback after the last game, well a big one.”

Potential Destiny Udogie return a major boost for Tottenham

The Evening Standard previously reported that Udogie is set to make a return for Spurs against the Eagles.

While Postecoglou hasn’t given away that the Italy international will definitely feature, it certainly seems as though it’s positive on that front.

Udogie has been superb for Tottenham since arriving at N17 in the summer from Udinese, having spent last term on loan at the Italian club.

The “fantastic” full-back has already clocked up 23 competitive appearances for Spurs this season, including 21 in the Premier League.

Udogie has been the “big stand-out” player for Tottenham this term, according to Jamie Carragher.

Let’s hope things go well and we see him in the starting XI as Spurs seek to get back to winning ways.
