Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has praised Destiny Udogie for how he has become “really important” to the Spurs team.
The Tottenham boss, speaking to football.london, says he and fellow full-back Pedro Porro have been “outstanding” and are both “improving”.
Udogie has been a revelation for Spurs this season, becoming a regular starter for Postecoglou and impressing on the left side of defence.
The 21-year-old has already clocked up 23 competitive appearances for Tottenham this season, including 21 in the Premier League.
Sadly, neither Udogie nor Porro will be available for Spurs in Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro set to miss Tottenham v Wolves
Postecoglou confirmed at his pre-match press conference that Udogie picked up a knock last week. However, he didn’t expect it to be “too serious”.
Meanwhile, Porro suffered a strain in training. It looks as though he could be out for “probably a couple of weeks”.
When asked how much their absences would affect Tottenham, Postecoglou replied: “It doesn’t change the way we play but I think I’ve said in the past a player brings their own sort of unique ability to each position.
“The structure won’t change and the way we set up won’t change but different players bring different attributes.
“Pedro and Destiny have been outstanding for us this year. Pedro has pretty much played every game apart from the first one where he didn’t start. Destiny every time he has been out there for us has been really important.
“They’re both improving but as I said they’re missing now. And there will be an opportunity for a couple of other guys to come in and make sure we maintain the levels we’ve set so far.”
Both Udogie and Porro have been outstanding for Tottenham this season. The former has been a revelation in his maiden season for Spurs. Meanwhile, the latter is going from strength to strength.
Tottenham’s defence used to be a thing of nightmares in the past. Mow, their strongest back line is back to the levels we saw in the peak Mauricio Pochettino years.
