Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed what he asked the PGMOL after his side’s defeat to Arsenal.

Spurs went into the game after a two-week break, and every fan of the club was hoping to see them end Arsenal‘s title charge by beating them.

However, in what was a disastrous first half for Postecoglou, he saw his side go 3-0 down following an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and one each from Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz.

Tottenham were gifted two goals in the second half and they pushed really hard to get a third. However, Arsenal held on and picked up a win.

Postecoglou seemed to have had an issue with a couple of things that happened during the game, and he has since contacted the PGMOL for some answers.

Ange Postecoglou shares what he has asked PGMOL after Tottenham vs Arsenal

Tottenham had a few decisions that went against them when they faced Arsenal last Sunday.

Micky van de Ven‘s goal was ruled out for offside and Dejan Kulusevski wasn’t given a penalty just before Bukayo Saka’s goal. The Swede was convinced he was fouled.

Ange Postecoglou seems to have taken those two decisions well, but something else that happened at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium appears to have annoyed him.

Ben White played a big part in Arsenal’s first and third goals last Sunday. The Englishman caused Guglielmo Vicario all sorts of problems.

Postecoglou wanted a foul on both occasions and he didn’t get them.

So, the Tottenham boss has revealed that he has contacted the PGMOL for some clarification about what happened with his goalkeeper last weekend.

Postecoglou said, as per Football London: “You’re allowed to reach out to them. They’re not a hidden society. I’m sure all the clubs do.

“We seek clarification in case certain things have changed, You never know. We just wanted some clarity on what the actual position is on interference on the goalkeeper.

“I’m ancient, mate, but I always thought that the goalkeeper was a bit of a protected species. Maybe that’s shifted now and I missed the memo.”

When asked if the PGMOL provided any clarity on the situation, Postecoglou replied: “No, not really.”

One Tottenham player is to blame for the mistakes

Ben White has been a nuisance to every goalkeeper since the start of the season.

The Englishman is very clever with his ways – he distracts whoever is in goal without actually fouling them – that’s what happened on Sunday against Tottenham.

Guglielmo Vicario can make an argument that he received no help from his teammates, but the Italian has to be stronger there.

Everton, Manchester City and Arsenal have all targeted his weakness in set-pieces. and we’re sure more teams will exploit that if he doesn’t improve.

The PGMOL will not help Ange Postecoglou in this scenario – he just needs to make Vicario stronger in and around his goal.
