Tottenham are without a number of key players as pre-season gets underway.
Indeed, due to various Euro 2024 and Copa America commitments, Spurs are without many of their key players as they get their season preparations started.
Luckily for some, that means that Spurs’ young players are getting a chance to shine in pre-season, and it’s fair to say they’re taking their opportunities.
Mikey Moore has been earning rave reviews, while Archie Gray has also been tipped for big things.
Will Lankshear is another young player who has been given opportunities during this period, and according to Alasdair Gold, speaking on his YouTube channel, Ange Postecoglou has been very impressed by Lankshear’s attitude and ability in recent weeks.
Ange Postecoglou impressed by Will Lankshear
Gold shared what he knows about the Spurs manager and his view of the teenage prospect.
“To be in the first-team and then go back into the U21s. I have seen some players in the past can be a bit funny about going back to the younger players, but Will just went there, scored a couple of good goals, came back and said ‘I’ve done it.’” Gold said.
“His whole attitude has just impressed Postecoglou and his ability as well. It’s a bout learning and developing and I think to be training with the likes of Sonny and having Maddison and Kulusevski teeing him up just enhanced the experience for him.”

Will Lankshear could get opportunities
Will Lankshare has seemingly caught Ange Postecoglou’s eye this pre-season, and opportunities could be on the horizon for the striker.
At the age of 19, Lankshear will only improve, and some exposure to the first-team at this age could help him hit that next level.
Lankshear won’t be Spurs’ starting striker anytime soon, but don’t be surprised if he gets senior opportunities this season.
