Tottenham Hotspur’s wait to make their fourth signing of the summer is growing ever closer to the start of the new campaign.
Ange Postecoglou‘s side certainly have not set the transfer market alight this summer in what feels like a very opportunistic window for Tottenham.
The signing of Yang Min-hyeok is clearly one which has taken a lot of scouting from Spurs and the same could be said about Archie Gray.
However, the former Leeds United midfielder was headed for Brentford before Spurs hijacked the deal to bring him to north London.
As things stand, Spurs are heading into the season with no new forwards with Timo Werner only retained on a season-long loan deal.
But this does not mean Postecoglou is settling as the Australian is now demanding three new additions before deadline day.

Tottenham want to sign Dominic Solanke and two more
Clearly, the biggest rumour doing the rounds at the moment is surrounding Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.
Talks between Tottenham and Bournemouth for Solanke are ongoing with the Lilywhites keen to bring in a new striker.
Postecoglou wants Tottenham to sign a striker with Premier League experience so he can slot straight into the side.
However, the 58-year-old also has other plans of what he wants to see over the coming weeks in north London before the transfer deadline.
According to The Times, Spurs are now looking to bring in Solanke as well as two further additions before the end of the month.
Postecoglou wants Johan Lange to recruit another winger and left-back on top of the Bournemouth striker.
That would tie in to the links surrounding Tottenham’s interest in Pedro Neto who is on their radar having spoken to his agents.
But also, support for Destiny Udogie who missed the backend of last season having sustained a quadricep injury which required surgery.
Tottenham need like-for-like backups at full-back
Perhaps the surprise package of the summer at Tottenham has been Djed Spence who returned to the club looking destined to be sold.
However, the 23-year-old has instead returned with a much-improved attitude and has performed extremley well.
Even Postecoglou has admitted Spence may have just saved his Tottenham career.
Spurs came into the summer needing attacking alternatives for Pedro Porro and Udogie so they can rotate across what is going to be a long campaign.
Right back now seems to be covered with Spence, but the same cannot be said on the other side with Ben Davies – albeit a solid defender – does not offer the same attacking threat as Udogie.
