Tottenham Hotspur are up against it if they are to pull off any late deals in this summer’s deadline day.
Ange Postecoglou can reflect on what has been a busy summer transfer window at Tottenham, in some respect.
However, it may not have been the summer which the Spurs fans will have been hoping for considering it has been dominated by player exits.
The Lilywhites have seen 14 players depart the club already this summer whilst there is an argument only three players have really been brought in.
Tottenham have technically signed five but there are only three new faces at the club for the start of the season.
And it seems as if Tottenham’s deadline day is going to be dominated by player exits with the club expecting a busy end in that sense.

Tottenham could sanction two late sales
There are two players who could be set to leave Tottenham by the end of play today as the trimming of – what was a bloated – squad continues.
One of those players who could be set for an exit is Sergio Reguilon who has seen an offer from Lille rejected by Tottenham.
And then there is Giovani Lo Celso who has just received interest from West Ham over recent hours.
Next up for Tottenham is a dreaded trip up to Tyneside on Sunday and Postecoglou has been addressing the media ahead of the game against Newcastle United.
Speaking on deadline day, Postecoglou has addressed the future of both Reguilon and Lo Celso.
“But he can also just wait, because you will soon be a free agent. Then you really laugh your head off. You can then sign for Napoli, Atletico Madrid or Spurs. I’m really convinced of that,” he told football.london.
“If he stays fit now, he will sign with a big bag of signing money [signing on bonus] at a dream club next year with a smile. I wouldn’t go completely crazy about Brighton.”
Ange Postecoglou fully focused on Tottenham’s next game
Having won one and drawn one, Tottenham will be keen to put another three points on the board on Sunday.
However, they are travelling to a St James’ Park which has proven such a difficult fixture for the north London side over the last two seasons.
Anything other than three points could well expose Tottenham to a slightly concerning start to the summer come a few weeks time considering the next game is the North London Derby.
It is the international break after the trip to Tyneside and dwelling over a potential loss going into a game against Arsenal is the last thing Spurs will want.
